“The cabin is on a quiet rd., cozy with plenty of space. There are plenty of dishes, silverware, etc., but no dishwasher. Could be a dealbreaker for some, so worth mentioning. The hosts and Birch Hospitality were communicative prior to & during our stay when we had issues, so I will give them credit for that. We could tell the cabin had been dusted, vacuumed & the bathroom was clean. But upon arrival, I found about 8 half dead ants in front of the fridge. Another room had a similar issue. I got rid of the ants & shrugged it off. Hours later, 8-10 more ants came out from under the fridge. This continued all weekend. Final count-40-50 ants. The 1st night we heard scratching in the BR ceiling. It continued on & off all night. Couldn't sleep. Most likely a racoon. We let Birch know, they apologized & called pest control to make it right. Pest control wasn't available until after our stay. No other resolution was offered. I expect a few bugs in the woods, but this cabin had a pest issue.”
