Overall the stay was great and the management company was very responsive. We had one issue with a lockout but again it was quickly resolved by calling the management company. Of note, there is an upper and lower unit for rental, and driveway parking can get confusing if both units are being occupied.

This beautiful, fully furnished New England two family home was located in town with lots to do in walking distance. There are 2 apartments to book; the 1st floor and 2nd floor. When were arrived, we realized we were not sent the code so we waited about 10-15 minutes trying to contact the host to get the code. When we entered, the place was not cleaned. We called the hosts and they were very apologetic and responsive. They stated that there was an error because we booked the day before which somehow didn’t flag in their system. We tried to find a hotel that night but everything was booked so we had to stay in the uncleaned space. They refunded us the first night and they came early the next morning to clean and prepare for us. The overall stay after the initial check in process was pleasant. The space was fully accommodating with a fully stocked kitchen, smart TV, and board games. Their beds were not that comfortable but they were nicely made with sheets, blankets, and pillows.

Based on our experience, I am assuming this is a fairly new short term rental. The location and layout were great for our purposes. The decor was tasteful and the beds comfortable. I liked having a full kitchen and washer/dryer. When we checked in, there was a strange smell in the kitchen/laundry area and some of the towels had stains. However, upon us raising issues, they were extremely responsive in sending someone over the next morning with all new towels and they found that the smell came from a plumbing issue with the washing machine that they immediately addressed. Thus, although our stay started a bit chaotic, it ended well and I could happily recommend others to stay.

We had a very nice stay here. We stayed in the upstairs apartment. It was clean, spacious, and cozy. The house is walking distance to Main Street and the river. We found lots of restaurants we enjoyed. We ventured out most days, Bar Harbor and Acadia were both about an hour away with lots of quaint little towns along the way. It was nice to return to a quiet place after our daily adventures. The host was very welcoming and very responsive.
