“Our extended family vacation was fantastic and the house and grounds were absolutely gorgeous. The pictures and description were accurate. The house is clean with ample space for finding quiet time with a large group. The two living rooms located on separate floors allowed for different evening hangout preferences (tv vs games). We had two toddlers with us, and the house is spacious enough for them to fall asleep without the whole house having to be quiet. The grounds and waterfront are stunning, the dirt roads are great for walking, running, biking. The only suggestion I would make is for the owners to consider window shades - the kitchen was nice and bright, but got very hot and we actually wore sunglasses to do the lunch dishes. But that’s really all I’ve got for anything but positive feedback!”

“The home is in a stunningly beautiful setting and has ample space to accommodate a large group, but the house and grounds have not been maintained well and did not justify the amount we paid for our stay. Pros: sweeping views of the water and coastline are breathtaking, and a large porch and windows to enjoy them. We also enjoyed the location, which offered seclusion while still being 15-45 mins from surrounding towns. The home is large, with plenty of different lounge areas, a great rec room, and several bedrooms. Cons: While this home was probably a real gem about 10-15 years ago, the owners have not invested in maintaining it. Outside, weeds are growing through the patio, chairs are broken, and minimal effort has been made to upkeep the property. Inside, rugs were stained, kitchen appliances were broken, dusty corners, warm fridges, cheap mismatched dishes, etc. The place felt dated, dingy, and not maintained. Great potential, but overpriced for its poorly maintained condition.”

“This home and property are incredibly special. I still can’t believe that the owner has made it available for others to rent! Our family of 10 stayed here for a week in August. We had tons of space, a table that fit ALL of us to eat, and plenty of rooms for teenagers to have proper isolation & brooding space, kids to play ping ping, and adults to enjoy cocktails and music in our own spaces. The grounds are beautiful. There are water views from everywhere. There was plenty stocked in the kitchen, and we loved the “drink a bottle, leave a bottle” philosophy. The house isn’t close to anything at all; but when you spend the days here, who cares? We did venture to Acadia a couple of days, and that was fantastic - about 90 mins each way. Come here for family time, local trails, shared meals, breathtaking views, and peace. This house is real vacation.”

“Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation! We haven't gotten away for years and it was just what we needed. Everyone had a fantastic time! There was plenty of room for the 10 of us & the kids and dads especially loved the game room - ping-pong tournaments until late into the night. The fishing off the rocks in the back was terrific & the sunsets were sublime. We traveled around a couple of days, but mostly we were content to stay around the property, cook in the amazing kitchen or go down to the beach. We all loved our stay so much and would definitely come back again.”
