“We had a wonderful stay with David. Perfect place for a quick getaway to Chicago to catch a Cubs game. Love the location- quick walk to Southport shopping and Wrigley field. Loved all the little “extras”- fridge with drinks, bathroom well stocked and super comfortable bed. Will definitely stay with David again!”

“In one word: thoughtful. From the listing description, tasteful furnishings, artwork, tampons and earplugs, every part of our stay felt like we were staying at a friend’s house. Like we were wanted guests. The unit is comfortable, clean, and in a great location, but we were especially impressed with David’s thoughtfulness. Don’t skip reading the guidebook! “A Novel Situation is simply a really terrific place to stay. It's quite evident that David put a lot of thoughtful care into making it comfortable and at the same time very functional. His communication was very clear and thorough. The flat was spotless upon check-in. The kitchen was fully supplied and included nice, unexpected touches like coffee/sweetener/creamer, as well as Brita-filtered water and sodas in the fridge. The bed is comfortable, and, unlike many one-bedroom rentals, the bedroom itself is sufficiently large such that it allowed us to move around and keep track of our stuff without feeling cramped. An easy walk will get you to all there is to do right there in Wrigleyville/Lakeview (including the Lakeshore) as well as to the L and buses if you're looking to get to the Loop or the museums. All in all, a Novel Situation was an ideal place for our needs. And, if you forgot that book you wanted to chill with, peruse the bookcase as you'll have plenty of options!”

“Beautiful quiet neighborhood so close to everything. Shower wonderful water pressure and heat. Linens luxurious. Beds firm and comfortable. So to be honest it's about location, good beds, and a hot shower. Davids place has all of that and more. Would stay again.”
