Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. Very spacious and comfortable with a huge kitchen. It served our group well. That said, none of the bedside lights worked as they are all battery powered and were dead. The fridge door handle was broken and there was no functioning coffee maker so we had to purchase one. Also we were provided with only one dishwasher tablet for four days with a group of eight people. The owner was very responsive but not particularly helpful in solving the issues. Overall it’s a very nice spot and would be an ideal stay with a few improvements.

On the positive, super clean, lots of room for adult family members, great flow to the home's layout, excellent location for getting to just about anywhere in the Rockford area.Just be aware this is not the luxury vacation rental with coffee bar & welcome basket, nor is it the utilitarian Airbnb with minimalist decor, high speed wi-fi, & smart TV. This is more like you're house sitting for the aunt & uncle that are out of the country for a few weeks, right down to the threadbare bath towels, mismatched coffee cups & car in the garage. This is clearly someone's part-time home; many personal belongings through out the house & some deferred maintenance. We did have some issues communicating with the host. Those problems appeared to have been due to a language barrier and translation issues, plus the fact that she attempted to contact us by text instead of the app. **Note** It is also not made clear in the listing that there is no working television in the home.
