“I want to say thanks to the host, Allison, for being able to accommodate my same-day request in the middle of a Texas-to-Indiana road trip, during a 100-degree heat wave. The pond & huge yard got me sold. My two Australian Shepherds, Cosmo and Wylie, got to roam off-leash and I played fetch ball with them straight into the pond for hours as they cooled off. They're solid on my command, so this was as close to a dog paradise as we've found on the road. The cabin itself - vaulted ceilings, good indoor/outdoor lighting, and a bathroom that felt luxurious. AC worked very well. Overall, it was so inviting and relaxing. I woke up early only because the dogs insisted, not because the comfortable bed gave me a reason to. 😉 If you're road-tripping through Southern Illinois with dogs and need somewhere flexible, this is it. “Loved Allison's place! It is always a benefit when a place is dog friendly, which is truly a large park of choosing Airbnb over a hotel. The property was a wonderful treat, and extremely relaxing. So many activities, restaurants, and alot to enjoy within the area but we enjoyed staying the entire weekend on the property enjoying the amenities. We also got to meet Kevin!”

“We booked a quick family getaway before the school year started back up. Our stay at the Yellow Door Cabin was perfect! The grounds are beautiful, the home was adorable and the host, Allison was so friendly and communicated with us the whole stay! Loved meeting the dog on the property, trying out Allison’s local recommendations and we made the 40 min drive to Rend Lake which was well worth it. Would absolutely recommend visiting. We will be back!”
