“DO NOT STAY!!! While the listing mentions a shared space with separate access that may be occupied by other guests, it does not clearly disclose that the basement is occupied by a full-time tenant. During our stay, the tenant left his door ajar. Our curious children pushed the door open, at which point the tenant slammed it shut, then came out yelling. The confrontation escalated, and the tenant physically pushed one of the children. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but it was a frightening and completely avoidable situation. We reported the incident to the host, but the host declined to provide any refund or meaningful resolution. We then escalated the matter to Airbnb’s Safety team, who responded promptly and professionally. Families considering this property should be aware that there is a permanent tenant living on-site, and interactions with that tenant may affect your stay.”
