“DO NOT STAY!!! While the listing mentions a shared space with separate access that may be occupied by other guests, it does not clearly disclose that the basement is occupied by a full-time tenant. During our stay, the tenant left his door ajar. Our curious children pushed the door open, at which point the tenant slammed it shut, then came out yelling. The confrontation escalated, and the tenant physically pushed one of the children. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries, but it was a frightening and completely avoidable situation. We reported the incident to the host, but the host declined to provide any refund or meaningful resolution. We then escalated the matter to Airbnb’s Safety team, who responded promptly and professionally. Families considering this property should be aware that there is a permanent tenant living on-site, and interactions with that tenant may affect your stay.”airbnb

“This air bnb failed to meet our expectations. We thought it was going to be in a nice neighborhood, due to its proximity to Mt. Tabor Park. But we didn't find it very appealing. The apartment itself seemed old and shabby, and it had a musty smell, perhaps because it was in the basement. We moved to a hotel on the second day. Amy's charges are on par with those of a hotel, but her place was far below the quality of local hotels!”airbnb

“This is a very convenient location with easy access to Alberta Arts district. Our only complaint is that the floors didn’t seem to be vacuumed or swept, counters appeared not to be wiped very thoroughly, and cleaning needs more attention overall. We enjoyed our stay, but would have expected cleaning standards to be spotless at this price point.”airbnb

“This cozy cabin is nestled right in the Black Hills with forest surrounding. It is a beautiful area and the house was exactly as described … we loved it!… except for one thing! MICE!! We saw one run across the kitchen the first evening. We heard them running around at night and caught two while we were there with mouse traps that were already there that we set up… which means the host knows it’s a problem. One of our bags with food in it was even chewed through. If not for this, it would have been an amazing place in a great location, but they need to solve this issue and people should be aware before staying.”airbnb

“I just want to share our overall experience. When we arrived, the back door to the home was unlocked, which was unsettling and unsafe. The shower was dirty with sand and hair in it as well many of the dishes were dirty when I went to use them, with an oily film on many of the dishes which is very gross. The TV and remotes were not working and you asked us to figure out the solution. My partner also had severe allergies to something within the home, either the numerous moth balls under the couch or mold, unsure. He is not allergic to animals or otherwise so something within the home was unclean. We had to leave a day early due to all of these major and minor inconveniences. This is by far one of our worst AirBnB experiences.”airbnb

“This unit was nice enough, however, I have a lot to say about this company (#stayinmydistrict) I stay in hundreds of vacation home rentals and I almost never leave a bad review. I first rented another property of theirs and it was very poorly described and they were very sneaky in hiding it's less than desirable conditions. When I communicated with them about trying to find a solution I was met with a very aggressive response, name calling, rude, inconsiderate and not helpful. The trend with this company is lies and misleading information. Cheap is also the theme, uncomfortable cheap furniture and accessories. They also lied about offering me a refund just to get me out of the property and cancel the booking so I couldn't leave a proper review on the previous property. A lesson I learned from this booking and this company, it's always important to also read the bad reviews, not just the good ones. I would stay far away from any rental with this company's #stayinmydistrict on them.”airbnb

“The house is near the ocean, very walkable and fun to hear with the windows open. The beds were comfortable, and bathrooms were clean. The wood stove shown in the pictures does not exist, and there were several cleaning issues upon arrival.”airbnb

“Our stay was unfortunately disappointing, especially given the price. There were several maintenance issues that significantly impacted our experience. The washing machine did not work at all, which was inconvenient for a longer stay. The house also had a noticeable sewage smell throughout, which made it uncomfortable to spend time inside. In the kitchen, both the refrigerator and freezer doors did not seal properly, making it difficult to keep food cold. The faucet was loose and felt like it needed repair. In the bathroom, the shower curtain was very low quality and repeatedly fell down during use. Overall, the property felt poorly maintained and did not match the value for what we paid. With some basic repairs and attention to upkeep, it could be a much better experience, but as it stands, it was significantly overpriced for the condition.”airbnb

“I am writing this on behalf of my wife who booked the stay. The location and house itself fit our needs nicely. There are some basics that if corrected, would make this a 5 star stay. There were multiple piles of dog poop left in the yard. For us, finding a pet friendly location is key but having to deal with previous guests pet waste was not a welcome experience. The trash can was already overfilled when we arrived. We asked if we should put it on the street since I assumed nobody was renting the midweek on garbage day. Host said to leave it so we did. We used the vacuum to pick up after ourselves before we left and it appears that the general cleaning is not through. The kitchen cabinets have not been cleaned. At all. Buildup. The refrigerator was dirty and had hair inside. The toilet ran excessively. There were no washcloths. The dishwasher stinks terribly. We did not open it or use once we noticed. Some issues have been noted in other reviews but not addressed”airbnb
