“The house was beautiful and very clean. The only issue we had was when we arrived we found out they gave us the wrong address. We showed up at someone's house. I had to contact them to get the correct address.”

“If I could give this property a negative rating, I would. The door code didn’t work upon arrival. After 15 to 20 minutes of trying different codes, we discovered a back door had been left unlocked. The MAIN reason I booked this property was the garage. I specifically confirmed beforehand that we could park our motorcycles inside. We could not. It was filled with junk, paint, and broken pool and air hockey tables. The house smelled awful, the kitchen floor was sticky, and there appeared to be black mold throughout, especially around the downstairs washer. Calling this a 5 bedroom home is extremely misleading. Several “bedrooms” are actually open common areas, a Murphy bed in the living room, and what appears to be a converted closet. Only 1 of the 3 bathrooms is accessible without entering a private bedroom. I contacted them the first night about the issues and received what appeared to be AI generated responses instead of actual help. Extremely disappointing. You also can’t get mail.”

“The cabin itself and view were even better than the pictures let on. It's beautiful, comfortable and was the perfect set up for our family group. We spent a lot of time kayaking and paddleboarding from the private beach (heads there was a lot of plant growth in the lake bed of the inlet early Aug, we paddled up toward the lake and swam around a sandy point and sandbar) enjoyed playing outdoor games on the lawn and hiking and biking nearby trails. Host resolved a coffee pot issue by bringing a replacment same day. Improvements needed: We had issues with all the fire alarms going off repeatedly first night. It was very disruptive. Out of desperation we removed all alarms and batteries at 12am and left them out the whole trip. Didn't get any direction from hosts after when we let them know- trusting they will resolve it Way to secure outdoor trash from pests. There was no plan for this and we were cleaning up trash the last morning. More dishes to suit the size of house/ # of guests.”

“Gorgeous, rustic style new home. There were ten of us staying for our daughter’s wedding. Not being able to take showers due to lack of water pressure-not a drop, period after sprinklers ran or using washer dishwasher was a serious inconvenience. Also had to buy bottled water to drink. The frig filter needed replacing and water tasted terrible.”

“Great location within walking distance of the beach, nicely decorated, clean, spacious. Unfortunately, several maintenance issues overshadowed our stay. The biggest was the water system. With 4 adults and 4 kids, we couldn’t take a shower without the water shutting off completely. We had to reset the breaker at least 10 times in our two-night stay and wait several minutes each time for the water pressure to return. Other issues included: the arcade game didn’t work, the master bedroom door handle repeatedly fell off (locking us out for 20 minutes once), the garbage disposal didn’t work, and there wasn’t a lighter for the fire pit/fireplace. They didn’t have a required extension cord in order to start Pit Boss smoker. The alternative wasn’t a convenient outdoor outlet but we made it work. Finally, Timber Vacation Rentals felt very rigid with check-in/out times and the extra fees, especially the pet fee. This home has a lot of potential, but the maintenance issues need to be addressed.”
