“Summary: Had a good stay, but some improvements needed before it's an ideal summer option, and the listing photos should be updated. We didn't realize the house lacks A/C (it's listed, but easy to miss). When we arrived and the house was 87°, the host suggested opening windows, but most lack screens or the screens have large holes. Since the home is in a wooded area with many bugs, this isn't practical. The lower level stays comfortably cool, which helped, but the garage door in the downstairs family room doesn't fully close, allowing many spiders and insects inside. Also, the listing photos also show an unobstructed lake view (part of why we chose it), but a new house now blocks it. The photos should be updated! Positives: The home has ample sofa seating upstairs and down (sometimes hard to find this!), two tables with enough chairs, lots of fun things to do, and a well-stocked kitchen. Aside from the issues, it worked well for our large family and pets!”

“Enjoyed our stay and will be back in the future”

“Communication started off well. Jon was responsive. Problems arose when we set up and paid for early check in. When we arrived the cleaners were still there and did t finish for 2.5 hours after our promised check in time. We were a group of 20 people displaced. We were told there was a fir pit and to bring our own wood, and there was not. We were then accused of having an unauthorized fire (maybe a previous guest)? The worst part was the morning of check out. I set up late check out 11 am. Maintenance people started to arrive at 7am to service the hot tub and scared my daughter exiting the bathroom. The owner then showed up with a group of about 8 people later that morning walking around the house and looking in windows, while we still occupied the home. I had to approach him to let him know we wouldn’t be checking out until 11 which he already knew because he approved it. He was rude and said they were “only dropping off a bbq” if you value time and privacy don’t book.”

“Great stay! Fantastic layout for a large family. Plenty of space to gather and sleep. Kids toys and books were nice for the littles. The backyard is awesome and looks out to a huge field with no neighbor. Super awesome!”

“We had a wonderful stay! The home is so cute and had plenty of space for our group. The only note I would mention is that we found quite a few spiderwebs and spotted a few small spiders and bugs in the house. It wasn’t a major issue or a surprise given the wooded surroundings, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! 😊”

“Beautiful location, and home. There were opened chip bags left in the guest bedroom closet which was odd. The pans need to be replaced peeling into the food and handle broken. Only two pans in the whole home. Easy fix just really need more pans and better kitchen items. One of the chair arms outside was also broken. The home is across from the neighborhood park which was great! Lots of walking and close to the lake etc. down the road from the tamarack resort. We had a great time! Lots of BBQing and the fire pit was awesome.”

“Very nice house and a great stay! The only problem we really had was that the driveway was not plowed or anything and it was very icy. Other than that, everything was great!”
