“Hello most of our family was charmed by this unique house. It was lacking in some expected amenities. There’s some electrical issues going on in the house so not all lights fans, plugs work. In my opinion the Location and charm of this place makes up for it, but not everyone in my family agreed”

“Hurricane grazed the island the day before we go there and the AC shorted out. The next day they showed up with 3 portable units. Amazing. House is incredible. Huge covered patio overlooking yard and ocean was a highlight for us. We spent a bunch of time there. And 20 min walk along the next to Tunnels, arguably the best snorkel spot on the island. Everything A++, especially if you’re looking for a Hawaii getaway off the beaten path. Only 10-15 min drive into hanalei. Highly recommend the Dolphin restaurant”

“We’ve stayed at this house once before and instantly fell in love with the location and beautiful views of the beach and lush tropical backdrops to the property. The house has a lot of beautiful old details including original wood floors, vintage light fixtures, and huge sliding windows that let the ocean breeze come in. It’s the perfect location for beach hopping and soaking up the local lifestyle on the North Shore. On this trip we did notice that about half of the electrical to all light fixtures and outlets was dead and only a handful of the lighting options that originally were in the house worked. We also ended up weathering the edges of the hurricane at the tail end of our stay. The neighbors and local shops were very friendly and offered ice, food and supplies while we went without power for a full day. We still loved our stay, but this lovely old house could use some TLC and maintenance to keep this place a great place for everyone to visit for years to come.”

“Location location location. Snorkel and swim right in front of the house (never saw more than 10 people on the beach), or just read/relax in the hammock, chaise lounges, or Adirondack chairs on the lawn. 10-minute walk to Tunnels Beach (swim, surf, snorkel). House itself is nicely remodeled and well appointed, with a great kitchen, AC, hot tub overlooking the ocean, outdoor shower, ping pong table, etc. If adjacent unit is rented concurrently by someone else the experience is a little less private, but it's still magical. Hope to be back again soon! 🤙”
