I have stayed here before, so I knew what quality I was expecting. However, currently they are doing renovations on all the units which was a down side. 5 of our nights we had someone parked in our parking spot who was a worker. Another day, we had someone running a jack hammer underneath us for majority of the day. Also, they had a large dumpster to collect rubbish from them renovation. However, instead of knocking on the door to ask us to move our car, they honk the horn until we came outside to see what was going on. Housekeeping couldn’t pick up the phone for more dishwasher pads. We also didn’t have a vacuum that worked. It would have been a great stay without all the construction going on.

This is our second time in the big island and we stayed on the same Paniolo Greens Waikoloa villas. While the first property had way nicer furnishings, we loved the kuala suite with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Our kids our now way older teens than we visited almost 10 years ago so they appreciate their own space. We loved that we kept the living room as a common space didn’t have to use the couch as someone’s bed.

My family and I had a great time at the resort, gave it 4 stars because of the location. The place was almost an hour drive from Kona downtown, which made it little difficult to go back and forth. The house was squeaky clean with full on facilities, maybe because of the heat, we did notice lot of spiders everywhere in the house, other than the 2 issues mentioned overall it was a nice experience. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned there was noise from people walking upstairs, but it is similar to living in a condo or an apartment, so it did not bother much.
