Plushy in Volcano, Hawaii

“Great place! It rained the whole time (which is expected) and we were gifted with the quiet patter of rain outside to put us asleep. The second floor provided us with a nice breeze to keep us cool at night. House was right off the highway, and easy to find. Additionally, the host left an air filter in one of the bedrooms, which significantly helped one in our party deal with her allergies. Usually it’s quite difficult to keep mold at bay in this area, but the host did a great job keeping it clean. We were quite satisfied with our stay here!”

“The location was great. The apartment was fairly clean, but there was always a damp smell when entering. The noise from upstairs was more than expected from the description, with dogs and a small child as well as constant rooster sounds from the neighborhood. We were surprised by the warning not to drink the tap water due to the rain filtration system, as well as the general stinginess with the towels. We had 3 guests and were only allowed 5 towels for the week. You'd expect that with a hot tub on the premises, they could provide each guest with one for showering and one for the hot tub, but the management service refused our request for an extra towel.”

“Nice base for exploring volcano national park. Not as fancy as some of the other listings but feels homey. The checkout and check in times are not as ideal as other places I’ve stayed in the area but host is very communicative and can accommodate early check in for extra charge.”

“We had a nice stay! Everything was as described in the listing. Location was great, a short drive and easy access to Volcanos NP.”

“The place was just as described. The kitchen was well stocked, TVs worked well, WiFi was good once I figured it out. It was weird having to take my own garbage to the dump. One would think that for the price being paid, that would be included. Buying my own drinking water was also a new experience and wasn’t mentioned in the description. Finally, be aware that there is a family living above you full time. There is little to no insulation between the 2 floors. They’re walking on your head.”
