Vacasa in Lihue, Hawaii

“This AirBnB is somewhat dated, but spacious and comfortable. It has 2 full bathrooms and several fans and air conditioning units. The area is very calm and peaceful yet fairly close to the main road, and is a short drive to the airport and various shops and restaurants. There is a slice of a beach/wave view in the distance. Parking was never a problem. One disappointment was that we weren’t allowed to use the large balcony because it was closed. The door is rather hard to open because the spring is quite strong, which creates a large banging noise if you don’t hold the door handle firmly while closing the door. We made good use of the in-unit clothes washer and dryer. There are some repairs that should be done that we have notified the host about, but overall we very much liked our stay and would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Kauai.”

“highly recommend everyone to find another place. this was the worst airbnb experience i've ever had - hosts would respond with the same message "we've reached out to our local team and they will help" - but no one ever came by or addressed any of our concerns. i got sick from staying there because the AC/heater was broken and would keep the room at 65-68 degrees, i also had a massive allergy attack because of the mold/mildew in the property. this is clearly an issue throughout the building because the room next door had a dehumidifier going during the time we did stay, before we vacated per airbnb's instructions - only to be left without accomodation for the entire day. we had to book another place out-of-pocket, didn't get a refund, and hosts are adamant that there is no mold / mildew when the room reeks of it. spend your money elsewhere and do NOT book with vacasa. there is also construction everywhere in this hotel and it's LOUD. they made noise past midnight directly above us”

“This room inside the Outrigger Resort is separate from what the resort has to offer including room cleaning (clean towels/wash rags etc). The beach chairs were handy.”

“Very nice place to stay on Kauai. Very convenient to beach, shopping and restaurants. I didn't like the fact that the trash dumpsters were in the middle of the condos, which our balcony overlooked, instead of tucked away on the side somewhere. Also, the thumping noises coming from guests upstairs was annoying. I would definitely stay there again.”
