Chimera Vacations in Koloa, Hawaii

“The Marriott Waiohai was a wonderful resort to spend our summer vacation. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath villa was spacious and had all of the amenities we needed. Perfect for families with young children or those with teenagers like ours. Our particular unit was private, but had a beautiful view of the grounds, the pool area, and the ocean from our lanai. Great gym and activities like corn hole, ping pong, and shuffleboard for kids and adults alike. The resort is right on Poipu Beach where we saw both Hawaiian monk seals and sea turtles daily. Walkable to dining options like Brennecke’s and Puka Dog. In addition, the Honu Bar onsite is great for drinks, appetizers, lunch, or dinner. The resort is also a short drive away from The Beach House, Eating House 1849, and many other restaurants in the area. Great communication from Chimera leading up to our trip. This is our 3rd visit to the Waiohai and it won’t be the last. Cannot recommend this unit and resort enough!”

“The host did recommended that we request and inward facing unit, but none were available for our dates. The unit backed up to a parking lot and they were doing chainsawing and noisy yard work for a couple of the days. I highly recommend doing whatever is needed for an inward facing unit. The unit was clean and as pictured in the posting. The kitchen was set up with basics, but the knifes and frying pans were terrible and since we cook a lot they were a big deal to our stay. The location was great. Lots to eat and do close by. We loved the Little Fish cafe across the street. Chimera was a great host and we would book here again.”

“Avoid this host. Check-in instructions said to use on-site staff, but staff could not find any reservation under my name or the confirmation number provided by the host. The host did not respond to multiple calls or messages. The address also did not match the listing photos, which raised serious concerns. I had to involve Airbnb support last minute to secure alternative accommodations, wasting significant time and money. This experience felt like a scam, and I would not recommend this host or company to anyone.”
