I realize Hawaii is expensive. But for the amount we paid for six nights it’s a lot of money ( compare to an all inclusive top notch resort in Mexico) The condo did show its age. Definitely due for an upgrade at this point. ( lots of remodeling noise going on in close proximity). You do have a clear view of the ocean as no other unit is blocking your view and only one direct neighbor. Overall it had everything you need. We made good use of the BBQ grills on site which were great.

If you want the waves to rock you to sleep this is the unit for you. With our prime ocean view we watched seas turtles in the mornings and a monk seal flop up onto the beach where he stayed all day taking a nap! The unit was very close to the surf shop and beach entry point. Do yourself a favor and rent a snorkel for the week. You don't have an assigned parking spot so parking is first come first serve. Some nights we parked really close and other nights we had to walk from the furthest part of the lot, but we didn't mind because we were walking through paradise. You will need to stop to get groceries if you plan to cook-including oil and other basics. There was salt and pepper, but other than that they request you throw everything out when you check out. There's a drip coffee maker with a one day supply of coffee so if you're a coffee drinker you'll want to get some coffee. We opted for a local Kauai blend and had delicious coffee overlooking the ocean every morning. We will be back!
