Vacasa in Kilauea, Hawaii

“The house was BEAUTIFUL!!! We were right across the street from the ocean - and on the north side of the island we had the perfect spot that we wanted. The bedrooms were large and the main area was perfect for hanging out as a family. We were very happy with this house.”

“This place was dirty. I couldn’t even stay a few hours. We got there after a long trip and unloaded everything and went to the grocery store to grab some food. Once we returned we found hair in the fridge. We overlooked this and continued on. However once I opened the beds to lay down we noticed both beds had stains. One bed had food crumbs and the other had some kind of blood or red food stain. We had to cancel immediately and rebook a condo in Lihue. Luckily we found something that was available and the host accommodated us last minute. This was very stressful with 3 kids after a long time. In addition the house has no ac and we knew this. However this house is situated behind another big house which blocks all the trade winds and creates an “oven” inside the house. This house in my honest opinion is not what the pictures show. The backyard is also very dirty and unkept. I am very upset.”

“I think for what I paid it would have been in better shape. Doors and fans broken. Dirty ceilings and broken windows. Just a beat up back unit home. I literally walked in, canceled within 5 mins being inside. I lost out on $1k and was totally fine with it cause it was that bad of a vibe and really didn’t want to stay there. Beware that it does not match the photos. The only positive would be the location. But man that places sucked.”

“This is our third time staying at the Anini beach house - the second time since its remodel. The main reason we can’t help but keep returning is its proximity to the unsurpassable Anini Beach. Perfect for small children and as calm and safe as it gets on Kauai. My son paddle boarded and snorkeled with countless turtles everyday. We love the north shore despite the frequent rain. Fewer crowds and peaceful beaches. My only slight criticism would be that the very minimal and modern decor in the house is not especially cozy or homey. It feels a little like a hotel compared to many airbnbs we’ve stayed in. But the yard is beautiful, huge and private and there is a spacious deck with table and seats for when it rains.”

“This house is in the most perfect location on the most gorgeous beach on Kauai. It's roomy and clean, giving everyone space to enjoy their vacation! we will definitely stay here again.”
