This is a spacious, nice house in a gorgeous part of Kauai, just across the street from magic Anini Beach. The house has everything a rental should have 一 with a combination of impersonal "rental agency" vibes and more personal, sweet elements, like games and puzzles on the shelves. There was a nice-surprise outdoor shower. The house sits close to the road, so the lanai is pleasant and spacious but not quiet. Interactions with the rental agency were impersonal and cold. For example, we arrived 1 hour early as the cleaners were leaving, but the agency hadn't released check-in information; I walked down the road to access cell signal so I could call the rental agency to see about early entry, but was initially told no, and then waited 10 minutes for two people to speak to the cleaning company before I was sent the access code. Another day, without prior notice, some men started working on the roof while we were sleeping. TL;DR: the property is nice, location is ideal, management less so.

5 star lodgings, 3 or 2 star hosts. The house is fantastic. Really well taken care of, no musty smells whatsoever. Just a lovely little spot w/ huge sloping yard. Peaceful and beautiful and old school Hawaii. Hosts were kind of a pain. They seemed to have never have had someone with a service dog before. They called and asked all sorts of questions about our dogs except the ones they are legally allowed to ask, they told us we had to give them a credit card over the phone (because of the dogs) or they would cancel our booking, and they told us they needed to do an in-person "walkthrough" on our second day there. -_- They called, SMS texted, and emailed a *lot*, and really only used the Airbnb app when I messaged them there. Really made me regret giving them phone and email. After we got past all that in the first few days it quieted down, but I have never had a host be so intrusive on Airbnb. Still, lovely place! To be honest would still stay there again despite all that! 😂

I’m praying the next screen allows photos bc no one is going to believe the level of filth unless they see the pictures. Ants in the 100k range…they had bait on the tub when arrived….,so yes, the bait works great. Tv sounded like a babbling brook…WiFi interference….guys came, agreed, unplugged the tv=—that’s it. Roosters going nuts from 4am on, extensive wood trim floor water damage—I informed them that small creek was building and they came with silica sand bags. It just goes on and on. All marketing baloney. This company, per their worker has 300+ units. Seems like ai is responding to everything. Claiming they can’t read iMessage…
