“Celebrated my wife’s 40th birthday at the Hilo Shangrila. The setting is breathtaking, the pool is incredible, and we found the location to be central for some excellent exploring of the east side of the island. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!”

“The house and surroundings were amazing. The views from the upstairs deck while being able to supervise the pool was perfect. We knew there was no A/C which wasn’t a big deal for two rooms but two bedrooms we just weren’t able to cool down at night and keep the doors locked. It wasn’t a deal breaker but just something to keep in mind as everyone might not be as cool as everyone else. The kitchen and supplies closets were well stocked and we had everything we needed. Turtles swimming every morning was an added bonus. It was a great distance from everything on that side of the island while also being away from the hustle as well. Thanks for a great week.”

“We really enjoyed the sound and sight of the Pacific Ocean at the backdoor. We easily made day trips to Kaumana Cave, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and Punalu'u Black Sand Beach. What a fun place to stay!”
