Wonderful place to spend the week with my fiancé' and adult children. Roomy, quiet and close to plenty of activities: beach, swimming, kayaking etc.

Beautiful surroundings and quite peaceful. Surprisingly cool , ceiling fans helped. Slept like a baby. Oven didn’t work and part the stove top was not working properly either. Downstairs toilet was acting up, not able to flush , had to wait and flush again. Very inconvenient for 4 people staying down there. Communication was awful, computer generated responses. Not helpful at all!

Awesome week in captain cook! Great snorkeling nearby, amazing view, and very quiet neighborhood. House was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. We grocery shopped on the way in from the airport and cooked multiple meals. This is a fairly remote location it’s about a 15 min drive up the hill to the main road. We loved the remote feel and the drive is beautiful just be prepared to spend some extra time when venturing out of the neighborhood. With it being so remote you have to remove your own trash and the waste transfer stations are not open everyday. I recommend being aware of the transfer station hours and plan accordingly. City of refuge/two step beach is a highly recommended stop. Kealakekua Bay pier just 3min walk from the house. It’s an awesome spot to jump in the water they have a step and a rope to get back up. Thanks for an amazing week on the big island we hope to return someday!

This is our family of 8 second time staying in this amazing place. Love the accordion doors that open up to the most amazing view of Kealakekua bay where we saw spinner dolphins almost daily. We love this quiet and slow paced area. Beds are comfortable, kitchen well stocked, outdoor shower is an added bonus, and I can’t say enough about this place. Thank you for sharing this gem.
