“My wife and I had such a great stay here! The place is exactly how it’s described and the pictures show. We loved the lanai and being surrounded by all the tropical plants. We were worried it may get hot at night with no A/C but that wasn’t an issue at all with the fan. We also loved staying in captain cook. It’s a beautiful part of the big island with great local coffee and food spots, and really nice beaches and diving. We highly recommend staying here and would stay again”

Absolutely beautiful and private location equipped with everything I needed including chairs, towels, snorkel gear, coolers, ice, etc. My favorite was the wrap around porch with lounge chairs. I'd definitely stay again on future visits to Hawaii.”

“We loved our stay in this lovely home. It's a very peaceful and private setting, with the owner living up the hill a hundred yards or so. It is clean and spacious, with excellent, simple decor. They have taken pains to provide all the little things that could make your stay enjoyable, from reef-friendly sunscreen and luxury bar soap, to multiple snorkel sets and towels, and even a very friendly onsite dog, Kiko, who we loved giving belly scratches to when he came around. The owners were very accommodating to last-minute requests, which we really appreciated. We mentioned that the keypad entry was not obvious, making the initial checkin a challenge but I'm sure they will update the instructions on that count. Note: there is no AC, but the ceiling fans were all we needed to be comfortable, even on the hot days.”

“We absolutely loved this cottage and loved staying in the Captain Cook area. The cottage itself has everything you could possibly want and the scenery is outstanding. We particularly loved the location...10 min from two of the best snorkeling places in all of Hawaii. We also loved the local vibe and visiting nearby spots like the fantastic poke place, amazing banana bread and fruit sold on the side of the road and the lovely nearby botanical gardens. Communication with the property management person was great and we got to meet the owner who also lives on the property. She was super interesting and fun to meet. My husband wanted to take Kiko, her dog that visited us every day, home with us. I would definitely stay here again.”
