“Unfortunately the experience of staying with Aloha Rentals was an all over bad experience. It was easy finding them and the building itself is fine, the balcony view was stunning. The locked box for the key of the apartment was half broken and it was very difficult getting the key out. As soon as we walked in everything looked fine but upon further inspection we noticed that the whole apartment was just so old and run down, not only the furniture but also the ambiance of the place was very off putting. But the worst thing is that in the bathroom, as soon as I walked in, I saw a huge cockroach on the floor. I immediately texted the host and asked if they did a pest control service prior to our arrival and they said yes and that the dead roach body was evidence that the service worked. Same day in the evening I saw a live cockroach crawling on the kitchen table into the toaster. Overall, the place needs renovation, but if you can handle living with insects, this place works just fine.”

“We had a wonderful vacation on Kauai and loved staying within walking distance to our favorite on the island, Tunnels Beach. So perfect for our family - shade and sun, a baby swing , snorkeling for mama and gorgeous scenery. We could see the same waterfall from the lanai at the house and loved spending time relaxing out there or eating meals. We loved the outdoor shower too! The house seemed a little worn in places and musty (mostly water damage around windows and funny smells in some cabinets) but not terrible and the location and ocean breezes made up for it. We learned after the first night that you have to close the glass doors at night otherwise middle of the night rains can come in! The first morning the floors were quite damp but it improved after making sure all the glass doors were closed up at night. That said, it is amazing to wake up and be steps to the lanai in paradise with gorgeous waterfall views. We had a wonderful vacation and look forward coming back again!”

“This rental very closely matched the description and photos in the listing. The location is ideal for both beach and town access. It was very comfortable for our family of 4, and could easily accommodate two more guests very comfortably. Kitchen accessories fairly well stocked with working BBQ. Beach chairs, bikes, boogie boards, surf boards and snorkel gear all available. We would gladly return.”

“We absolutely loved our time in Kauai!! I think that the rental was lovely. I would definitely go back to the complex, however, I do not think I would book this particular rental again. The mattress was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on and the condo had carpet! Not good for a tropical vacation. I refuse to give a bad star review because the location was amazing, the other guests were awesome, and it was a perfect location. But, mattress HAS to go!!”
