“The cabin was nice, clean, private. River close by to fish. We saw lots of deer coming and going.”

“The upstairs was beautiful. The kitchen was great but several things need attention. One bedroom downstairs didn’t have pillows, it only had shams. The downstairs sofa is tiny, suitable for kids. Half of the towels and washcloths were stained. In a mountain home you expect to see a few bugs, but downstairs had a lot of dead insects like it hadn’t been swept in weeks. Also there were probably 10 live millipedes/caterpillars crawling around. We swept up and got rid of the live insects but when we saw a live scorpion behind a bedroom door we moved upstairs. We could only use 2 of the 4 bedrooms. I contacted the management company and they offered to come clean it up but we had already done so. In the living room there is no coffee table, no end tables, no lamps, no rug. It’s not a deal breaker but it’s just weird not to have the basic furniture you’d expect to have. All in all, the place has been beautifully redone but it falls short of any other rental I’ve ever stayed in.”
