“The home was beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. The wooded setting provided a peaceful atmosphere, and overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The main area for improvement would be clearing the spiderwebs before guests arrive. We understand that being surrounded by woods means spiders are expected, but there were webs throughout the property that could have been removed before check-in. Unfortunately, someone in our group also received a spider bite during our stay. Additionally, having a broom and mop available would have helped us tidy up after ourselves. Aside from these concerns, everything was great. This is an amazing home, and a little extra attention to cleaning and providing basic cleaning supplies would make the experience even better.”

“The space and amenities were very nice, and the location is great—it really makes you feel like you’re tucked away in the mountains! Parking was tight, but we were able to fit a truck and a minivan. Our main issue came from a plumbing problem. We noticed that using any of the upstairs sinks caused graywater to drain directly into the basement sink, filling it up and rendering all sinks unusable for more than a few seconds at a time. After the water drained, dirty bits would be left in the downstairs sink. We reported this to the host right away, and they acknowledged the photo and said they would follow up with a plan, but they didn't. The next morning, we received an automated "Extend your stay!" message, which prompted us to ask for an update. At that point, we were informed their vendor couldn't come out until after our checkout the next day. Overall, it’s a lovely cabin, but the automated communication and unaddressed plumbing issue made our stay more difficult than expected.”

“The cottage had beautiful views and peaceful surroundings, but fell short of expectations for over $1,000 for two nights Confusingly, our email showed Dahlonega for the location, while listed in Dawsonville We found a stained pillow, a partially used paper towel roll, fewer trash bags than promised, and an outdated BBQ grill Communication was frustrating. Despite repetitive reminders, including requests for names already submitted, questions about basic kitchen supplies went unanswered Check-in directions placed the key across from the driveway, but it was by the front door Using a separate website for check-in/out was also inconvenient, and checkout instructions appeared only the next day leaving little time to prepare for the several checkout process Check-out: Trash directions only said "entrance gate." but nothing in driveway. The host kept repeating "North Gate" without explaining what that meant. We eventually figured out ourselves that it referred to the community gate”

“We were given the wrong code to the lock. That took a bit to get straightened out. That was really the only issue.”

“Although we had a good time, simple things could have been adjusted. The tips of the pool sticks were worn or non existent and we didn't want to ruin the table, so we played a game of 4 people and one stick..a couple of the fireplaces didn't work and the hot tub was a pain to get turned on in the first place. Overall, it was a cute place, spacious but let it be know, most places around there close early”

“There were some technical issues that were not resolved in a timely manner. We also had some difficulty with some of the kitchen appliances. We also were disappointed in the quality of the linens. My major issue is that it took 24 hours for me to get a response from my five emails when we first checked in. Disappointed in this rental.”

“Place was nice and kids enjoyed it. It was hard to get in initially but we got it figured out. The rooms were great and the space was great for 9 people. We arrived in late September and wanted to use the outdoor fireplace that was advertised, but when we arrived it was out of commission and we were told it would not be turned on till 10/1 which was 3 days prior to when we arrived. That was a big reason why we chose there and wish we had been told. Otherwise it was nice”

“The property was beautiful and we enjoyed our trip, but there were several major issues. At arrival, the gate attendants did not have our reservation and initially would not let us in. They could not reach the host, but finally allowed us to enter. The cabin was nice inside, but the kitchen was poorly stocked, so bring your own pots, pans, and baking dishes if you plan to cook. The exterior was covered in cobwebs/spiderwebs, and we had to clean the porch ourselves with a broken broom. There was no working exterior light by the hot tub, which felt unsafe after we saw a bear and cubs right outside near the hot tub. Our reservation was Thursday-Sunday, but the gate pass expired Saturday. We tried repeatedly to contact the host/GA Cabins For You and could not reach anyone, even when the gate still did not have our info. Interestingly, the host responded immediately about a sink leak on checkout day. I would not recommend this property or GA Cabins For You.”

“Our stay at this property was unacceptable and ultimately unsafe. Upon arrival, we found extensive dead and live spiders, insect residue, droppings, and evidence that the basement had recently been treated for pests. We immediately notified the host and provided more than 30 photographs. Despite this, the response was delayed and we were essentially asked whether someone could simply “sweep up” the insects. The situation became far more serious when our son, who slept in the basement, reported being bitten throughout the night and developed numerous bites across his body. During our second day we discovered and recorded live fleas jumping onto my husband’s legs and immediately reported the issue to Airbnb and the host. After packing and unpacking for a 1.5-month stay, this caused an enormous inconvenience to our family. Despite the documented health and safety concerns, we have not received the full refund. This was a serious pest and safety situation that should never have occurred.”

“The cabin itself was clean and had beautiful views, but I wish the listing had been much more transparent about what it actually takes to get there. While it mentions that 4WD/AWD is required, it doesn’t fully prepare guests for just how steep, narrow, and challenging the drive can be. We arrived in an appropriate vehicle and still did not feel safe accessing the property, ultimately deciding to leave after our first night. Rather than working toward a reasonable resolution, any refund was refused despite us only occupying the cabin for one night and this host having a cancellation policy in place. Very disappointing experience, host, and Airbnb guest services of whom gave us the run around for well over a week. No refund received and the host got to keep our 1400. I was also made aware that this listing (per Airbnb reps involves some type of “software management” system which was part of the issue with communication.”
