Georgia Cabins for You

Georgia Cabins for You's guest rating of 4.67 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We found lube in the couch and suspicious stains on the bedding. When brought it up to Jenny she wasn’t too apologetic and actually told me it must be bleach. I washed all the bedding and the “bleach” stains magically vanished. Wouldn’t have been a huge deal if check in wasn’t postponed a full hour because it was “being cleaned”. Floors were sticky and so much dust! About half inch on the shelf above the bed. And mold is growing in the decorative bathroom pieces. Location is fantastic tho. At least they have that going for them.

The house was nice with high ceilings. It was close to proximity of the country club golf course. It needs some updating. As a person that needs coffee in the morning, I was very disappointed that coffee maker didn’t work. The check out list required to wash towels, trash needed to be taken to a trash location that was not near by which was very inconvenient. I have never had to do this for any Airbnb rental. The golf course beautiful though.

It was a beautiful cabin however there were leftover pimple patches on the shower from previous guests, the bathtub was dirty with stains along with brown dirty water pouring out of the faucet. Some blankets were dirty and had a dog smell. Other than that, the environment was kept clean, kitchen was great and had a great time in the hot tub as well as the basement ping pong.

The cabin itself was clean and had beautiful views, but I wish the listing had been much more transparent about what it actually takes to get there. While it mentions that 4WD/AWD is required, it doesn’t fully prepare guests for just how steep, narrow, and challenging the drive can be. We arrived in an appropriate vehicle and still did not feel safe accessing the property, ultimately deciding to leave after our first night. Rather than working toward a reasonable resolution, any refund was refused despite us only occupying the cabin for one night and this host having a cancellation policy in place. Very disappointing experience, host, and Airbnb guest services of whom gave us the run around for well over a week. No refund received and the host got to keep our 1400. I was also made aware that this listing (per Airbnb reps involves some type of “software management” system which was part of the issue with communication.

We stayed here over the 4th of July after our first reservation cancelled on us at the last minute. I would avoid this host and location. The location is owned by a rental company, not a private person. They force you to use an external website for check-in and check-out. They also do not take care of this property at all. As in some of the other reviews, the outside decks were filthy and we couldn’t really use them due to all the spiders and gross stains on the cushions. The listing also had “extremely fast wifi”, it did not work at all for us our entire stay and there was zero cell service. The host was not helpful at all in resolving it. Once you check-in they seem to care very little about anything you need. The rest of the house was in dire need of maintenance. The large shower had a broken knob and we couldn’t use it. Other things were just falling apart. Just find a different place to stay. There are many cabins in this area that are much better for the same money.

The view from this cabin is beautiful and worth the trek up the mountain. Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay. The downstairs carpet had numerous dead and live ladybugs, along with a few spiders, and there were hundreds of dead bugs in the window panes. Along with clogged sinks and missing table chairs for outside dining. The biggest disappointment was losing power and running water for about five hours after a rainstorm. We had just returned from a day of exploring and were in the middle of cooking dinner and getting ready to shower. The food we were cooking was ruined, and we ended up having to throw away food from the refrigerator as well. We understand that power outages happen and are outside of the owner’s control, but the property manager only offered a brief apology and made no effort to make things right. The view is great, but the cleanliness and customer service need improvement.

This was kind of a last minute find. And it was definitely a lower cost than many other comparable nearby. Entry code was not clearly communicated - and was difficult to figure out. Upon entry, found a lot of active spiders in living area and bedroom. And dirt/dead bugs in several places in the home. Called host to request early departure and at least a partial refund. That was denied. Only solution offered over the phone was for a crew to come in, clean and exterminate... while we were staying. Found a different place to stay for the weekend.

The place was great, however there was only one roll of TP in each bathroom, no extra. No additional trash bags, no laundry detergent, and there were ants in the living room. The TV upstairs did not work, and my guests reported that bedding may not have been washed.

The property was very beautiful, deep in the forest, and the river was in the backyard. The inside of the cabin was very beautiful, we enjoyed the pool table, playing board games, playing in the river, walking in the mountains. Before we arrived we were told that we should receive a code to go into the cabin at least 30 min prior to the check in, but we received the code an hour late, and only after we contacted them for the code. The driveway had a very steep grade incline and we had a lot of trouble getting in and out of it, especially after it had rained every single day. We contacted Jenny to see if she can offer any accommodations and she wasn't willing to even try to help us out. The stress of getting in and out safely from the property made it hard to enjoy the rest of our vacation.
