“My husband and I decided at the last minute to take a quick vacation and since we had never been to the Blue Ridge area before we decided to book a cabin in Cherrylog. The cabinet itself is amazing very quiet, relaxing the views of the sunrise was breathtaking and the skies in the evening are beautiful. The decor is very cabin like and rustic so you definitely get the cabin fuel. It is a challenge to get up to the cabin only because the roads are very narrow and steep and especially when you’re not used to mountain life, but after a few days we got used to it. I do recommend to make sure if you’re a coffee or tea drinker in the morning and you get there late to check in you wanna make sure you bring your coffee supplies for the next morning because there was nothing available in the cabin. I would recommend the cabin. It was perfect for two people spacious and comfortable.”

“There was a bug infestation that was known to the owner in advance of our trip, but which was not disclosed to us in advance of our trip. This was extremely shocking to arrive to as there were piles of dead bug bugs everywhere, and live bugs, crawling all over the window windows and the house, and in the bathtubs and the showers and in the toilet and in the beds. Airbnb was kind enough to step in and offer us a partial refund. We had to clean during our entire trip and even then the bugs were still a huge problem. It was very difficult. The company managing the property was leisurely in their response time and also condescending in their communications with us. Frequently using language like “as we previously mentioned” “ to be clear regarding our previous communication” “ to reiterate” instead of providing any real substance as far as a quick solution. I had to get Airbnb involved in order to expedite a solution. It was still gross and uncomfortable staying there. Do not recommend.”

“We had a really lovely stay! We booked a last-minute trip (booked on Thursday to stay that Friday and Saturday night). Even with the really quick turnaround, everything was totally seamless and the cabin was spotless. The host was very communicative and responsive from the beginning with clear arrival instructions and driving directions. Keyless entry for a quick check-in and check-out was super easy. The cabin was adorable and so well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, cutting boards, and even had a good selection of oils and spices. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels provided. Lots of cute signs around the house to help with connecting to wifi, navigating the TVs, using the thermostat, fireplace, and gas grill, finding the nearby hiking trail, and more. Truly nothing but positive things to say - we absolutely loved it and hope to be back soon!”
