“We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. There were some housekeeping issues that were promptly addressed. The porch, hot tub, and porch furniture could use some attention. It was in a nice secluded location tucked back in the woods. Be prepared for barking dogs from surrounding properties.”

“This house was absolutely beautiful inside and out!! You can tell a lot of time went into curating a peaceful, serene house. Even down to the small decorative details were perfection. We’re already planning our next trip it was that good. The best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in!! Few things to keep in mind when you book: food/amenities are minimum 15+ minutes away and the last road to the house is a very narrow single car backroad without a lot of places to pullover. Thankfully we didn’t have to deal with car shuffling on our many trips in and out, but can seen where it could be a pain. Cell service was spotty so we had to use wifi calling or FaceTime so the call wouldn’t drop. Some places in the house work better than others. We paid the fee to have the pool heated and saw condensation the first morning coming off the pool so we knew it was on, but our second day it was definitely cooler than 80°, felt closer to lake water. It wasn’t unbearable, but made the hot tub essential.”

“Wonderful stay in lovely upscale cabin. Rental company super helpful before and during stay. Excellent directions provided to reach the cabin and our GPS also worked exactly to address. Waterside setting so peaceful. Location is great to enjoy wineries, thrifting, small town ambience and great food in both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Highly recommend this property.”

“The place has a beautiful setting. It’s roomy and clean with a down home feel but doesn’t lack any amenities. The nearby town has a genuine charm to it with excellent places to eat and shop. The locals are very welcoming. All property policies and restrictions were clearly communicated before I arrived and there were no surprises. The only negatives of my experience were: The burn restriction and not being able to use the fire pit was more disappointing than I thought it would be. The nights were very cool, and without fire, the deck could not be enjoyed at night. Restrictions on keeping fish turned out to be very disappointing. We caught some beautiful fish. Fresh, pan seared trout would have made a great experience. As stated above, these restrictions were communicated to me well in advance. Overall we enjoyed it. I would stay here again.”

“This is our second time at Ocoee River Retreat (and third year with Cuddle Up Cabins.) We have already rebooked for next year! This place is perfect for our crew while we work in the area for a week ending with a big event at the former Ocoee Whitewater Center. There is plenty of room to spread out and a lovely deck overlooking the river for relaxing evenings. The kitchen is spacious and has everything we need. If we were vacationing, it provides so many fun things to do to keep kids occupied when they need a break from water fun (or rain!) We love everything about it!”
