Panhandle Getaways in Watersound, Florida

“We just got back from a week at Piper's Place in Prominence. The condo was nice and clean, as well as the neighborhood. The sun rises early here, around 5:45, so the sunlight would wake us up in the morning, even with the blinds. We never used the golf cart, but rode our bikes to the beach, and used the bikes a lot. You have to go about a mile to Deer Lake State Park to get the beach. There is a long walk through the dunes to get to the beach, which is beautiful. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed on any of the beaches, unless you are an owner and have a permit. We didn't know this ahead of time, but would walk our dog around the neighborhood and then go to the beach. There is no gym access, and we didn't use the pool. The Big Chill across the street is convenient. We went to George's and Citizen in Alys, and the Old Florida Fish House nearby, which were all very good. The towns on 30A are lovely, and we would come back.”

“Perfect house for what we needed! Beach access was a little challenging in this location but we went down a couple miles. There is only one parking spot for this house.”

“Great place overall. My only problem was having to deal with their realtor as he was selling the property during my stay and let’s just say he wasn’t professional. Great location near restaurants and beach access with vehicle or the golf cart. During our stay, the realtor requested access to show the property to prospective buyers and offered to pay for our lunch in exchange for the inconvenience. We agreed, left the property, and even tidied up before the showing. There were 7 people in our group, and we rearranged our vacation plans to accommodate the request. Afterward, the realtor reimbursed only a portion of the lunch cost, which was disappointing because no spending limit had been discussed beforehand. Future guests may want to clarify any reimbursement details in advance if they agree to accommodate a showing during their stay.”
