“The condo, community pool and location is what makes this community great. Walkable to the Big Chill and close to the beach and surrounding towns. The downside was the overall communication by the owner and the setup within the Airbnb. When asked about early check in a few weeks in advance we were told it would be a $50 fee. Then days before the trip, the automated messages told us it would be $125 per 30 min intervals before the regular check in time. Based on prior poor reviews I made sure to ask for the lockbox combination for the golf cart, code for the pool and code for the garage. None of this information was provided until it was requested. And we were told should be no code for the pool. However there is a code for the pool. Lastly, the basics within the Airbnb were lacking, most notably was hand soap for bathrooms. We had to go out and buy our own for the bathrooms so we could wash our hands. All these issues can be easily fixed.”

“Unfortunately this stay fell short of expectations. The listing mentioned amenities like a golf cart and bikes, but the golf cart had a flat tire and it took more than 1/2 our stay to get it fixed. the bikes that were available had flat tires. The outdoor furniture was old, rusty and not comfortable. None of the small extra touches that make a stay feel special were present — it felt pretty bare-bones for the price. To make it worse, communication with the host was frustrating. I’ve been communicating with the host for weeks at this point and there still little effort made to compensate for the missing amenities. I expected more from this host.”

“We stay at The Prominence every year. The house was as expected - most are the same style, layout, accommodations. Extra pros were the house had outdoor furniture and several bikes to use. Cons were very poor communication on house instructions. We weren’t given pool code, bike code, or golf cart code. We had to ask for everything separately. Also our cart had a flat tire on arrival, and it wasn’t fixed for 48 hours. Host gave us bad info about who to contact for it and whether we could get a replacement in the meantime. Tire went flat again two days after being fixed and we didn’t bother to reach out since it was such a pain getting it fixed the first time. The golf cart is one of the main reasons we book in this area. Dissappointed with it and how it was handled. Before the trip, I asked host if house had pack n play for my baby. They said no. I rented one. Then turned out, house did have it. Felt very much like corporate owner had poor property management, lacking knowledge”
