Panhandle Getaways in Saint George Island, Florida

“First off, we loved the house as a whole. It was very clean, and felt like home. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and its accompanying amenities. We had no issues with the home itself. However, the fire alarm continually went off during the first two days/nights of our stay. It was very hard to get anyone in the phone about the issue, we lost sleep 2 nights as it went off on 5 separate occasions both nights. We had small children who were scared, and the only “fix” we received was to turn off the breaker to the smoke alarms, which also made us uneasy. I made multiple calls with no fixes, and the rental agency didn’t seem to care. After 5 calls and multiple messages, this is when we received the “fix” to turn off the breaker. The house was great, but the rental agency was extremely poor with terrible communication. We will not be using this rental agency for anything in the future. We don’t hold this against the house, as things happened, but the rental agency were no help.”

“St. George Island first-timers here and we fell in love with the island and this beautiful home! We traveled with 2 kids who spent 90% of their time in the saltwater pool or in the rec room! We loved the outdoor spaces (the outdoor shower, grill, dining setup, and TV by the pool were super handy!) as well as the cozy spaces on the balcony for morning coffee and reading. The kitchen was stocked with lots of necessities and the living area was cozy and stylish! The beds were so comfy and the bathrooms (and entire home) were truly spotless. There were even fishing poles, beach gear, and pool toys provided, which were a wonderful surprise! The home was close to “town” and public beach access about half a block in either direction and right down the next street (easily walkable, even for little kids) but quiet and private since all outdoor activities are in the backyard. I can’t recommend this home highly enough and we are already planning our next trip back to Walking on Water!”
