“The location of this property is just steps from the beach in a very quiet community. The agency offers rentals of beach equipment and bikes; which is convenient. We communicated with the agency about several cleanliness and maintenance issues. We found them slow to respond and unclear about the time frame in which they would be entering our unit. The unit overall was not to our standards of clean. It felt as if the agency put the responsibility of upkeep reporting on the guest. Several items we reported (dirt and wear on high use areas, a nonworking dryer, air vents clogged with dust, holes in exterior trim on the deck from unknown source, nonworking exterior light) were plainly evident and should have been dealt with as part of long term upkeep and inspection between guests. The agency did extend a partial refund acknowledging our concerns with this booking.”

“The location was excellent - walking distance to the beach, which was so nice!! Loved the pool, perfect size with young kids. The house itself did not meet expectations. We booked when it had no reviews, so knew we were taking a risk. It was musty, almost everything had rust on it - light fixtures, shelves, etc. There were dead roaches when we walked in. The master shower didn’t drain and wouldn’t get hot - I put in a maintenance request and never heard again, we used the other shower and it was fine but still not great. I’ve also never been in a less stocked air bnb. They aren’t kidding when they say you need everything - only one trash bag, only the toilet paper on the rolls, no extra paper towels, so come prepared with everything. Not even salt and pepper or anything in the kitchen.”

“Location is good. Needs to be exterminated, several roaches, small and big. Actually had one in our grocery tote when we got home. Extra blankets weren’t washed, instructions were to put them back where you found them when finished. You could tell they hadn’t been washed in a while. Instructions are to clean your dishes and put them up before you leave. A lot of dishes weren’t clean when we arrived and ended up washing them before using. Dishwasher doesn’t drain. House is nice, not cluttered, just needs some TLC and monitoring of what the previous renters actually complete for checkout. One last note, bring your own grilling tools.”
