We planned on cooking breakfast for 2 mornings, but the 2 large front burners on the stove did not work. The 2 small ones in the rear did work, but they were not large enough to cook breakfast for 5 people so we ended up eating out. Also, on Friday night the condo became warm. We thought it might get better but it got warmer throughout the day on Saturday. After doing some investigation, we determined that the evaporator coil on the ac was frozen. To be clear, we did not set the thermostat below 70 degrees. You could see that little maintenance had been done on the ac. The coils and filter were dirty and this restricted the air flow causing it to ice up. The landlord was responsive and did send out maintenance around 7 that evening. I dont see that they did any cleaning to the unit. I believe it started working again because we shut it off to allow it to defrost. I appreciate their response, but we were without sufficient cooling for part of Friday night and Saturday.

Pros: communication, location, balcony views, beach access, 2chairs/umbrella provided, clean spacious place, really well equipped gym, parking availability. Cons: sparse kitchen equipment and supplies, uncomfortable outdoor furniture in living room, spiral stairs difficult to master bedroom, 4 people condo but only given 2 fobs needed to access many areas.

being right on the beach was fantastic, and the pool area was always clean and well maintained. There were several issues during our stay. The parking gate wasn’t working on our first night. The elevators also broke down multiple times. Since this condo is on the first floor, it wasn’t a huge issue for us, but to get to the pool and beach while the elevators were out, we had to exit the building through the front and re-enter through the lobby. Inside the condo, the décor is dated and showing its age. The beds were the biggest disappointment, all of them extremely uncomfortable. The condo could also use a deep cleaning we noticed our feet would turn black from walking barefoot on the floors. The refrigerator’s ice maker barely worked. The water pressure was also very weak. Only one person could shower at a time and running the washing machine while someone was showering caused the water pressure to drop significantly. Overall, the beachfront location and clean pool were great.

The place was dirty upon check in the glass doors and balcony glass were dirty with streaks. Our feet and socks were black on the first day walking around the unit and we did not find the outdoor furniture to be equivalent to the cost of the property. We stayed on property 7+ years ago and the unit looks almost identical to the unit we stayed in - no real updates have been made to warrant the cost. We won’t likely stay at Portifino again.

We booked this condo largely because onsite boat slips were advertised as available on a first-come, first-served basis. Premier Island confirmed this in writing shortly before our arrival. However, when we arrived with our boat, we were told renters could not use the onsite slips. Management located an alternative slip down the road and provided a partial refund, which we appreciated. However, the offsite slip did not allow us to see or monitor the boat from the condo and was not equivalent to what was represented. We were told this resulted from a recent HOA change, but the condo documents show the slips have been individually controlled since 1997. Because onsite boat access was a primary reason we booked this property, this was very disappointing. Renters bringing a boat should make other arrangements.
