Beachside Vacation Rentals in Merritt Island, Florida

“We were disappointed with a couple of things with this listing. 1. Although Airbnb shows an ‘all in’ price, the vacation rental company charges an additional $45 nonrefundable fee (or $600 hold on your credit card for up to 2wk after departure) which is only disclosed after booking. 2. The floors were SO dirty. Our feet were black after walking around for a couple of hours so we had to wear shoes inside while at the condo. 3. The beds were comfortable but squeak with any sort of movement so if you roll over, get up in the middle of the night. Etc it is incredibly loud. 4. I’m not sure the ice machine has been cleaned out recently. We went to get ice and it appeared dirty with flecks/hair. Aside from these issues, the layout was good and the instructions for checkin/out were easy to follow.”

“There is little or no internet connection, the TVs dont even work and they did not fix it. They said the owner will not upgrade.”

“The place was fine, but there was practically no WiFi connection. The download speed was less than 4 mbps! Average WiFi is 200+ these days. I was with 2 kids so in the morning after getting back from a busy day we just wanted to lounge and put on a movie, not doable here. There was poor reasoning given and no real attempt was made to fix the problem.”

“Only drawback is I paid for my late checkout after they approved and last minute they cancelled it which shook my plans. If they let me know before I pay for late checkouts, I may opt for other listings in AIRBNB. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay.”

“We had a a relaxing stay here, the only “problem” I had was we couldn’t check in. I tried to call 4-5 times and no one answered until the last call. I was never given a code to the building or the room so we just had to wait outside until someone answered the phone. Other than that we had a wonderful time the house was very clean and just a good place to relax.”
