Master Vacation Homes's guest rating in Florida of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract. “Property was beautiful and host responded promptly to any issues. Cleaning could have been a little better than it was. We had to sweep the floor in the laundry room and living room because of sand left on floors. There were no pot holders to get pans out of the oven. Bought some and left for next guests:) Pool was nice but it had been raining for a couple days and with the enclosure only being screened, the pool was overflowing and little dirty. They came and cleaned it promptly. The lights on the pool started blinking off and on so had to contact host and couldn’t turn the pool lights on the last 2 days of our stay due to maintenance needing done. Although that wasn’t anything that could have been predicted, I would have thought the host would offer a little refund due to not being able to swim at night. Other than that, the home is beautiful and we would stay again”

“When we arrived at 5:10 PM within our check-in window, the house was being cleaned, and we waited nearly two hours before entering. Attempts to reach the host went unanswered; he merely resent the instructions, leaving us waiting without apology or explanation. Once inside, a sharp bleach odor filled the space, and the dining table and chairs were wet from cleaning, rendering them unusable the first night. The oven did not function. The second-floor air conditioning was missing, so everyone staying with us struggled to sleep in poor conditions. No sponge or dishwasher soap was provided as a courtesy, even though we left everything clean. The stay was poor, the host was unhelpful, and the home’s quality was low. The beds felt humid, as if the sheets had not dried before being placed. After cleaning, we could enter because the code provided was incorrect. I sent multiple messages with no response, then found a phone number and called; they assisted me.”

“Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing due to loads cleanliness issues and problems with the appliances. Not to mention the pool in the resort for “ kids “ is closed and that was mentioned while booking”

“Our family was extremely disappointed with this stay. We specifically booked the original home for its amenities, including the indoor basketball area, only to be told 2–3 days before arrival that it was unavailable. With over 20 family members traveling on booked flights, we reluctantly accepted the replacement. The house had numerous issues: an undersized trash bin, missing air hockey equipment, a malfunctioning microwave, a loose kitchen faucet, a broken garbage disposal, a constantly clogged sink, and cleanliness concerns. The pool area and furniture were poorly maintained, and bathrooms were insufficient for our group. We paid for a heated pool, but it remained cold throughout our stay despite notifying the host. We also paid for the grill, but the propane ran out after cooking one pack of hot dogs, forcing us to purchase more. Although the host responded, the problems were not effectively resolved, and he refuses to refund the pool-heating fee. We cannot recommend this property”

“The Airbnb was very nice, and the kids loved the themed rooms and pool. The welcome basket was a thoughtful touch, and the host communicated throughout our stay to check on us. Unfortunately, the experience after checkout was disappointing. About an hour after leaving, I realized my son’s phone was missing. Find My iPhone showed it was still at the property, so I immediately contacted the host. He said the cleaners were there, and I asked him to share my number so I could help locate it by playing a sound. I received no response for hours and was eventually told I’d have to wait until the next day. He even suggested paying for another night to access the house. Only after I mentioned contacting the authorities was the phone retrieved. I understand respecting cleaning schedules, but I expected better communication and urgency when helping a guest recover a lost item. The home was lovely, but the way this situation was handled left a bad impression.”
