Place was good, a little dated but had everything we needed. The pool unexpectedly was closed during a portion of our stay. Close to the beach and restaurants.

The area had a lot to be desired, and the property not as well maintained as indicated in the advertisement. Air conditioner was difficult to run and the bathroom needed updated. Suspicious activity with individuals staying in the same building made us uncomfortable. These individuals should be screened before allowing them to stay on site. Outside doors near door handle look as if they have been compromised in the past and should be repaired/replaced. Overall, the area was not ideal and the premises was not as described online.

This stay was a total disappointment. I have pictures to show the remarkable difference of what was advertised and what was reality. I am requesting a refund and I no longer trust air bnb. I would tell anyone considering a stay here to go elsewhere - preferably hotel. it was bad enough from the moment we arrived. Curtains hanging off the rods, general disrepair, lighting that would turn on and off on its own and a broken shower. Then the cockroaches started appearing. I notified the management and they did respond, requesting photos! With permission they can enter a room without anyone being present, so I have no idea as to whether they came or not. We were here for a family wedding and did not have time to cancel, lose money and find a new place. I regret choosing this facility. The biggest disappointment is that there is no way to avoid something like this happening again.

We got a “upgrade” but it was not that nice as expected. The beds are almost done, hairs on the floor and in the bathroom. Toilet was not tightened. Anyway the location is great and u can park directly in front of the building.

I am urging all future guests not to book at The Great Escape (Lowkl). Upon check-in, the place was nothing like the pictures online. The ceiling fan cover was hanging off, leaving wires exposed. The bedroom bedside lamp was broken and could not be turned off, had to be unplugged. There was mold on the shower curtain. The rod was bent, preventing the curtain from closing, leaving the shower completely exposed. The baseboards were warped and filthy. The floor constantly had condensation building up from somewhere, making it perpetually damp. We booked for 2 queen beds but were given 2 doubles. The pictures are very misleading. The actual pool is tiny and rundown. We alerted the host and Airbnb immediately on Thursday. We were promised maintenance on Friday, but they never showed up. By Saturday, I was already in the process of canceling and rebooking elsewhere through Airbnb AirCover. Only when I was moving out did they try to fix things—do not fall for it.
