“The area is very quiet and conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and walking areas. The location is excellent. The house itself is charming, comfortable, and offers a good amount of space. However, we was disappointed to find that the property was not cleaned to the standard one would expect. A home with a high turnover of guests should be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between stays. The house had an unpleasant odor, the floors were very dirty and sticky, and dust had accumulated in several areas, there was urine around the toilet. The impression we got was that, if any cleaning was performed, it was very superficial. It seemed as though the bedding was changed, the kitchen trash was removed, and the countertops were quickly wiped down, nothing else was done. When guests book a vacation rental, the minimum expectation is to arrive at a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place. We only chose to stay in the house because we were exhausted. We drove 12 hours from NC.”
