“Master bathroom smelled so bad, had caked feces that looked before like it had not been cleaned for a long time”

“The condo we booked in Fort Walton was everything we hoped for until plumbing issues and how it was handled. Our second day there we had an overflowing toilet and it was repaired within a few hours, but the next day the water was shut off and we had to notify them and were told there was a leak that would require us to change locations. We were given 3 choices, none in Fort Walton, but chose one in Destin. After having to repack everything, plus new groceries and move to the new unit (that was not beach view like the previous) I texted at least twice and spoke to two different people asking if there would be any partial compensation for our time lost and huge inconvenience and was told someone would get in touch, but that never happened. Both places were nice, but the way Southern Vacation Rentals handled that part is unacceptable, so I would not recommend renting from them. If I hear back and anything is done, I will update this review.”

“Highly recommended for a relaxing family beach week. The unit was clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space for my wife, me, and our two teenage kids. It worked great for us. The condo amenities were good. Everything we needed was there and easy to use. Direct beach access made it simple to head out whenever we wanted, and the beach itself was pleasantly uncrowded during our visit, which made for a more peaceful experience. The beach service however was a negative. They block the entire condo beachfront’s prime space with overpriced rented and unrented chairs. We really appreciated the quieter vibe compared to busier stretches of the coast. Local restaurants nearby were excellent and added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. It was a truly relaxing and fun week. We’d happily stay again.”

“Parking was a nightmare. Not even close to room. Kitchen way smaller than made to believe. Stove- Only 1 eye on the stove worked. Needs a Can opener. Refrigerator not cooling like it is supposed to. Would have Love for those things to be updated especially paying 2300 dollars for 3 nights and 4 days! Host didn't unlock door early. Even after paying 60 Dollars DAYS AHEADS! Had to wait. For as much as I paid I Would Have thought it would be More Up to Date on the Appliances!!! But the flip side!! Its amazingly peaceful. Great Location!! Love the Pool! Love the beach access. Traffic is crazy crazy so plan ahead!”

“This was a nice place, great beach view, and very close walk to the beach. The parking is very tight to get in and out of certain spaces. It was my not reading the amenities well enough, there was not a washer and dryer in our unit. I messaged the company and was told there was not a washer or dryer in the entire building. On our 2nd day we found out there is a wash room on each floor. I also asked since there was not a washing area could be exchange our bath towels. I was told no we get 1 towel per person for the entire stay. I had planned on bringing beach towels but I also had to bring bath towels when I could have washed them mid week had I been given correct information. This is prob not the place if you are wanting a quiet peaceful stay, there was a tin of small children which did not affect us at all. The only thing that would deter me from renting again is the washer and dryer. Plenty of room and comfortable spaces. The pool area is also easy to access and clean.”
