The location was great. It was an easy walk to the pool and the beach. The condo was well equipped with kitchen items and had plenty of space. The only issue was the place smelled of urine.

We had a great stay here! It was peaceful and close to the beach. We really enjoyed going to the beach each evening and watching the sunset. The house was clean and comfortable, other than the dishes we had to clean to use. I also wish they had changed the water filter (it was overdue) because the tap water on the island does not taste good. The elevator did periodically quit working on us, and we found the written check-in instructions a little confusing. I would also recommend asking for the contract up front so you can ensure that it matches the rules on the listing. Last, $50/hr for early checkin/late check out feels criminal and really cut into our last day. Though not a detractor, it should be noted that this Airbnb is on the beautiful beach side of the island and it is not in walking distance to the bustling historic downtown marina-side.

presented these suggestions to the hosts, Carol and Richard Stephens, but received no response. For the convenience and safety of future guests, I do hope they’re interested in considering them. A few are relatively minor; others concerning guest safety are not. 1) Of paramount importance is the dangerous exit from the driveway onto South Fletcher. During the day Fletcher carries significant traffic. Many vehicles, including construction trucks hauling trailers, use this road. Many don’t obey the speed limit. The house has a wall with a hedge above that, together, obstruct the sight line looking south. (I noticed that, when in the southbound lane, one of the owners pulled onto the berm to allow traffic to clear before he backed into the drive crossing both lanes, a dangerous maneuver made to enable safer exit when leaving.) Before pulling onto Fletcher, a driver must nose his/her vehicle into the northbound lane to see oncoming traffic. Again, a very dangerous maneuver. The

We came to Amelia Island and the Fernandina Beach area to celebrate my sister‘s 50th birthday. We had 10 girls total and mainly just needed the house for a place to sleep. Thankfully, we only had eight girls on Friday night because on Saturday night when everyone was there, we did not have enough space for everyone to sleep. The trundle bed was broken and there was not enough space for two people to sleep on the couch. One of our ladies ended up leaving. There are no curtains in the living room or the master bedroom so when the sun comes up in the morning the entire place gets blazing hot. The air conditioner was having a very tough time keeping up. The couches in the living room were dirty. There was a bad smell coming from some of the kitchen cabinets. They only left us one single trash bag that was in the trash container in the kitchen, and we also only had two dishwasher pods. Overall, I would say the description of this place online is not accurate it definitely does not sleep 10!

We had a great time on Amelia Island! While we enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb, we unfortunately experienced some difficulties. The listing stated the house sleeps 10; however, the trundle bed could not be pulled out due to the layout. We had to have guests sleep on the couch instead of having a bed. The house sleeps more like 8 people. Also, the check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 pm. We showed up at 4:15 pm, and the cleaners were still there finishing up. Overall, the location was perfect, and the views were beautiful, so that made the house worth it!
