“Rough start...Agreed to $50 to get access 2 hours early. Then had to wait 30 mins to get in due to staff there. The property is a duplex ( which is fine but didn’t present as such). Could not get into one of the duplexes for a bit bc they didn’t change the code. Both were fithy- animal and human hair and stains/dirthy bedding and furniture, dirty clothes and towels left in the bathroom, layers of dust/dirt and multiple joint butts left in the fire pit. When reported, they did come and replace the linen and clean which disrupted/displaced more of our time there. They accidentally took some pillowcases which they did replace after a hassle. The $50 for what was supposed to be a 2 hour early access was waved. We made the best of the stay there and enjoyed the beach and time together.”airbnb

“7/10 – Good vacation, not great but solid. The location was amazing — quiet beach with easy access that worked great for our family, especially those with little kids. The house was very clean on check-in, beds were comfortable with plenty of them, and we had good seating, 2 fridges, an ice machine, and 2 laundry rooms. The neighborhood felt quiet and safe, grocery pickup was helpful, beach chair service (Scott) was 💯, and checkout was very easy. A few things held it back: the pool was cleaned while we were there instead of before arrival. Workers tried to paint and close the beach stairs until we told them no. No welcome sheet for WiFi, amenities, or trash times meant lots of guessing. Communication was quick but poor — especially with the locks issue. They gave us a 2-hour window, we waited inside, and no one showed until hours later after we re-asked. The owner eventually fixed the WiFi in person but only after multiple nudges. LOTS of nudges on multiple confirmations asked.”airbnb

“Was told to get in contact with the host to get more toilet paper/trash bags and was told they would be getting it to us and never did. Getting in contact to get clear instructions was very hard. Told us they would allow for early check in depending on flight details yet when followed up with after landing they said they would not be able to honor that.”airbnb

“Guest size of 18, we found overall the accommodation was good. There was plenty of room for everyone and for the most part we were satisfied with our stay. The kitchen was stocked with the essentials. The check out process didn’t require us to clean up excessively which was a great. We couldn’t give the place 5 stars because of a few things 1) Check in code was not correct, however easily fixable host communicated quickly 2) The main tv in the living room was not able to connect to the wifi properly and when we had brought it up the answering service was not helpful. Not a big issue, but adds to my next point 3) The freezer was not working well resulting in a lot of our groceries going bad (that’s a lot of money and waste!). We confirmed that the door was properly closed. When we brought it to their attention, they were not helpful at all and then not send anyone out to our knowledge to check on the freezer. TLDR; place would have been 5 stars if communication was better.”airbnb

“We were really looking forward to this stay, but unfortunately it fell short in several ways. The biggest issue was the bedding. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, and I struggled with restless nights and significant back pain throughout our stay. I live with a chronic illness, so quality sleep is important for me. I had hoped the hot tub would provide some relief, but it never worked during our visit. Another issue was a strong odor in the living room that smelled like cat urine. It was noticeable throughout our stay and made the space feel unclean. We reported the hot tub issue multiple times, and each time we were told, “Our team is checking into it.” Unfortunately, that response never turned into a solution before our stay ended. There were a couple of positives. The golf cart included with the rental was a great perk and had plenty of room for our family, and the location was conveniently close to the beach. Otherwise, we won’t be renting from Downtime again.”airbnb
