Vacasa in Ocean View, Delaware

“Nice, clean house. Bath towels were not supposed to be part of the amenities, but they were. There were numerous gas grills surrounding the condo building, but we didn't know which one, if any of them, we had access to. WiFi was sketchy and kitchen was lacking in some things, like mixing bowls and some lightbulbs were burnt out. But the property itself is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood that the kids could safely ride their bikes through. The pool and pool area were very nice, and the kids had fun playing pickleball. The shuttle service to/from the beach was very nice and convenient. Overall, a nice place to stay.”

“The house was nice and clean and the community is peaceful. However, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of communication when we tried to reach out about a problem with pool access as access to the pool was an important factor in our decision to book this property. We immediately contacted Casago when we realized there was an issue with the property not being registered with the city of ocean view and were told we would receive a callback once they heard back from the local team. Unfortunately, we never received a call back. We also sent multiple messages through Airbnb during our stay but only received AI responses with no resolution. In addition, we sent an email but still have yet to get a response. Good luck getting any help if you run into any problems while staying at this property.”

“Upon arrival we were told parking is unassigned but were told by other residents that we needed to move our cars. Empty alcohol cans in the drawers. We went to get our amenity passes from the community manager to access the pool and were denied due to property owner owning dues even though passes were paid for. We were also informed that there were only 6 guest in the house although listing said 7 maximum. After being in the house for 24+ hours we still had not received our amenity passes and also struggled to get in contact with the owners. Once that was figured out we got the passes and were only able to use the pool even though other amenities were advertised at booking. Overall the experience was terrible, I spent majority of my vacation dealing with unnecessary hassle due to choices of the owner and poor communication. Was also told the house was always listed as 6 maximum even though I had proof on my confirmation email and had to prove that to owners. Do NOT recommend”

“pretty good place just be aware some doors dont latch or lock properly and windows are very set in staying where they're at.”

“Great location. Nice space. Pictures don't match what is really inside. There is some maintenance that needs to be done with the flooring between the eating area and the kitchen. It is covered with black tape instead of being fixed correctly. Back porch dining area is covered with yellow pollen wasn't cleaned. They have 2 ways to make coffee, but no coffee, make sure to go shopping before staying here. When we reached out to the Mgt, the auto -responder was quick, the person was the next day. We didn't get the feeling that this was a real AirBnB. It was like staying in a hotel that bought a section of condo's at a nice golf course. Towels were cheap. No seasonings outside of salt and pepper. Furniture in the living area was not comfortable. If you are looking for a good place to just sleep and shower close to the beach this is great. Don't expect any wow factors.”
