Keylink Vacation Rentals reviews in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

“A comfortable, beautiful home nestled in the hillside and frequently visited by wildlife—including a chubby black bear who strolls through the neighborhood—we couldn’t have asked for a more quintessential Colorado experience. One note unrelated to the home itself: my husband accidentally left a brand-new pair of hiking shoes behind, and we contacted the host immediately after realizing they were missing. We received several messages assuring us that they would check and get back to us, but we ultimately had to follow up again today to get an answer. We were told that the shoes were not found. Unfortunately, given that we reported them missing right away and received no timely follow-up, we were disappointed with how the situation was handled. This did not affect our rating of the home, but we wanted to mention it for the sake of transparency.”

“The home was not clean. Doors were left open and bugs in infiltrated the home. Home smelled as if a smoker lived there. Bathroom mats were dirty. Reached out to the host and we were told to look in the cabinets if we wanted cleaning supplies. Which we didn’t find very many. Overall the home is beautiful in a great setting but the home needs some cleaning TLC.”

“We loved the house because of all the wildlife we saw during our time there. It was private and peaceful, and the neighbor was so nice. Although, the room set up was not necessary ideal for a family with young children. It is not safe for a toddler. We wished there was more of a description of the entrance into the home and going upstairs. We had to block off areas to make sure it was safe. We did find baby gates at the end of our stay but wish that was mentioned in more detail as an option in the beginning. The basement rooms were not pleasant. We received no response from our two attempts to contact the host, only timed messages about the home and bear sightings in the area at the beginning of our stay and the last day. Would stay in this area again because it was absolutely gorgeous but would not stay in this home.”

“It was all the small things that added up by the end of the trip. It started with what look like 10-year old dirty bath mats and dirty shower tile grout. Then the pots and pans were crusty, teflon flaking off, etc. Then the front door flashing that sliced my arm and one of my kids arms. There was a large SUV parked in the driveway the entire time we were not informed it would be there until time of checkin. Since we have a large SUV we were unloading luggage in the street. Then the kicker. We had a man and a woman enter the access code and walk into the unit unannounced. They were yelling and telling us to get out and asking why the 'hell' we were in there. We eventually found out she was a representative of the owner and she was told the unit was available. Knowing the owner had given the code out and since there was no dead-bolt to keep us safe, we packed up and left a day early.”

“The owner’s behavior was the biggest disappointment of our stay. Thankfully, it happened on our last night. While we appreciated that he fixed the lights, he spoke to my wife in a condescending manner about opening the windows. We had returned from Glenwood Adventure Park to a scorching hot house with no electricity or a way to circulate air, so we opened the windows to let the heat escape and never left them unattended. Ironically, the guest book says windows may be opened if they have screens, yet none of the windows have screens. Had I not brought my portable power station, I couldn’t have powered my Starlink to communicate with the host via Airbnb. We left the home cleaner than we found it (as we always do) and treated it with respect. If I rated the stay solely on that interaction, it would have been 1 star. But because it was an isolated incident, I don’t believe in damaging someone’s overall rating over one bad experience.”
