“We stayed here for our 10-year anniversary and my husband’s 30th birthday. The cabin is clean, quiet, and has a great view of the lake. The kitchen is well-stocked, A/C worked well, and the porch was peaceful—though it really needs outdoor lighting for evenings. The “lake access” is a steep, slippery dirt slope and not swimmable. We paid $618.98 for two nights with taxes and fees, which felt high for what’s offered. We’ve stayed in other Vallecito cabins with similar views and better lake access for half the price. The bathroom lighting is very dim, especially in the shower, which made it hard to get ready. The front door opens into the second bedroom, which is a unique layout but not an issue for us. It’s a cute, cozy space in a peaceful location, but it’s definitely on the expensive side. With a few small upgrades—brighter bathroom lighting, safer lake access, and porch lights—it could be an even better experience.”
