Loved the River- Hated the beds! This was a very cute place in Basalt, fully stocked. It was a close walk to the adorable downtown area. Also, the RF river is literally at the back door. You can hear the river roaring throughout the house if you leave the windows open. The house's furniture is in serious need of updating. We were there for some mountain biking and friend time, and one of the guys said his back was so sore after sleeping on the upstairs queen bed. The springs were literally sticking him and his wife in the back. We made some modifications, and it turned out ok, but I definitely felt bad that they had that experience since I was the one who picked out the place. None of them were good, but that one was the worst. Amazon has comfy memory foam 'bed in a bag' options for ~300 dollars, so this should be easy to do. Otherwise, I highly suggest bringing a mattress topper. The rest of the furniture was doable, but very soft. 4/5 stars only b/c of beds!

We had a wonderful stay! The property is absolutely beautiful and serene, feeling delightfully secluded and quiet up in the mountains. Despite the peaceful, private setting, it was incredibly convenient—just a short drive to local shops, as well as easy trips to both Carbondale and Aspen. We all had a great time and couldn't have asked for a better mountain getaway!

We had a great stay. The privacy was great and there were multiple hiking trails right on the property. The green grass yard was great for our little kids and dogs, and we felt so secluded yet only 3min to town.

Let me first say we enjoyed our stay, however cannot give 5 stars because on 4 separate occasions, over our 3 day stay, our privacy was interrupted with zero notice by the day labor workers on the property. My wife and I chose this place for the privacy, but when we’re relaxing in the backyard and somebody walks through the property to do work, or stop by unexpectedly to repair a sprinkle, or bring a garage can when we were on the back porch, it disrupts that very quickly!!! We were in touch with the property manager, who assured us it wouldn’t happen again, but we had two more occasions with zero notice where a worker showed up on property while we were outside, so that made us not only uneasy but interrupted our privacy and stay. Overall, it’s a cool location for two people, but I would definitely caution you that there is a lot of activity around the property because of the adjoining places, so if you’re thinking you’re gonna get away for a private escape think again!!
