Mountain Vacation Lodging in Avon, Colorado

“The condo itself is nice and in a good location. That said, I cannot recommend this place to others. A few significant things went wrong during our stay, most notably the fireplace didn't work. I wouldn’t have booked a unit without a fireplace for a ski trip. We alerted them right away – they gave strange advice about leaving the switch on for 30 min and then toggling it off/on. When we said that didn't work, they never sent anyone to look at it. I do of course understand that these things happen and maybe a technician was difficult to find. Key amenities were also unavailable. We weren’t upset, but thought a little courtesy for the inconvenience would have been nice. When we communicated with the hosts about this, they were extremely condescending and refused. I use Airbnb often, and have never been talked to like that; this is the first place I can't in good conscience recommend”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. The space is nice, very clean, and well located. One thing we appreciated was that the kitchen is very well stocked with quality pots, pans, cookware, etc. This can be very hit or miss at rental properties. We had an "issue" during our stay, which ended up just being an oversight on our behalf. However, before we realized our error, both the owner and the management company were extremely helpful and responsive. Eagle-Vail is an awesome spot in the valley, especially if you are coming with a family. Depending on the season you can nordic ski, golf, hike, bike, walk, ice skate, go to the pool, visit the neighborhood parks, etc. It also offers a nice local, community feel as an alternative to other places in the valley. We were also able to bring our dog which was a nice perq. We would definitely stay in this home again.”

“We stayed at this property during the summer and, unfortunately, our experience was negatively impacted by ongoing construction at the house next door. For three days of our stay, the noise was extremely loud throughout the day, even from inside the home, and it completely disrupted our ability to enjoy the outdoor space as we had planned. While the property itself was comfortable, the lack of advance notice about the construction was disappointing, and it significantly affected the quality of our vacation. We requested some form of reimbursement given the circumstances but did not receive any. For future guests, I would recommend confirming whether any nearby construction is planned before booking, as this was a major inconvenience during our stay.”

“The Beaver Den Lodge was a beautiful, peaceful stay just minutes from the town of Vail! It was an oasis with it’s quite backyard and hot tub, spacious and comfortable beds, and beautiful kitchen with giant table! We comfortably shared this as a couple with our two kiddos and our in-laws, and still had space and beds to spare! We loved it for a summer mountain weekend and know it would be perfect for ski season, too. We would happily come back and recommend it to anyone else traveling to the area!”
