“We stayed at Bear Creek Lodge for five days, spending about two thousand dollars expecting a relaxing family vacation. One of the main reasons we chose this property was because of the pool. Unfortunately, while our children were swimming, they discovered feces in the pool and actually stepped in it. We understand accidents can happen, and the main reason we're leaving this review isn't the incident itself, but how it was handled afterward. We called several times, left messages, and sent messages through Airbnb asking when the pool would be safe to use again and what cleaning procedures had been completed,but we couldn't get a call back from the property manager or clear answers. We received conflicting information and were even told the pool had reopened when it had not. Because of this, our kids didn't get to swim for the rest of our stay. No one ever apologized or acknowledged what our family experienced. For the price we paid, we expected much better guest care and safety.”
