“We had a great stay at this rustic, spacious cabin in Alma! The highlights were hot tub stargazing and the wildlife—we saw deer, birds, and a moose right by our window. The appliances are a huge plus. The kitchen features a great gas stove and a brand-new dishwasher. It's well-stocked with tools (waffle maker, grilling gear), though lacking good cooking/steak knives. The fridge has no ice maker, but we grabbed a bag at Al-Mart (preferred over well-water ice anyway). The all-in-one washer/dryer is super convenient for post-hike laundry, though large loads need an extra dry cycle. The cabin was comfortable for early June; no A/C, but propped windows kept it cool, and bedroom humidifiers beat the dry air. The well water has only a mild mineral smell. We had a check-in hiccup when the cleaner accidentally locked an extra lock, requiring some back-and-forth before the host gave us the backup lockbox code. Still a fantastic, roomy retreat!”
