“This is a beautiful property with great views. The home is well furnished and clearly was thoughtfully designed at some point. I also want to give credit to the property management team for always being polite in communication. Unfortunately, the actual condition and upkeep of the property is an issue. During our stay we encountered numerous maintenance issues including a broken toaster, broken microwave turntable, poorly functioning dishwasher, damaged screen door, rough deck boards, burned out fixtures, and dangerously wobbly dining chairs. One chair tipped backward while my child was sitting in it and they hit their head on the floor. Another reviewer had mentioned the same chair issue months earlier. Radon system visibly broken (concerning). There was also significant dog hair throughout the kids’ area, rug, and furniture, causing allergy issues during our stay. Overall, this feels like a beautiful property being let down by deferred maintenance and lack of attention to detail.”

“Overall we had a great stay. House was exactly as described. No issues with heat/cold. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Gilding group was very responsive and polite. Everything was clean and it had plenty of things that we needed or looked for while cooking.”

“I'll start with the good because I loved the place.... perfect location!! We were only minutes from downtown and getting in and out was a breeze. Also the house was better looking in person, which rarely happens, my family enjoyed it. The bad.... 1st thing was the living room tv not working our entire trip. 2nd was the fridge was broken and we put our food outside in the snow the whole week, the smaller fridge that was left in the kitchen froze all the drinks. 3rd the porch door handle giggled right off. This was the first 2 days. I messaged the host and thankfully they were quick to respond and get maintenance out to fix the handle and tv. TV still was trying to go thru a roko account none of us had, but all the other tvs worked great. The fridge wasn't fixed until our last full day, they stated they messaged me ahead of time letting me know it was broken but I never received a message. if I would've know I wouldn't have bought so much food on my way there. We still had a great time!”

“We had a great stay in East Lansing! The location was perfect - a peaceful, walkable neighborhood yet close enough to the heart of MSU’s campus. The home had everything needed for a comfortable stay; the garage was a nice perk! The host was responsive, proactive, and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!”

“This stay is a great cabin to feel like you’re getting away from the madness. With the fire pit on the porch to the hot tub & comfy beds it was truly a great place to relax & reset after a fun day in the mountains. Would recommend to anyone who is okay with the elevation of Alma. The host was gracious & very responsive of anything we needed & any questions we had. We loved it so much we even extended our stay. 10/10!”
