“We were highly disappointed in the upkeep of the apartment. It needs a major renovation. The walls were so thin we could hear the news next door and the man coughing above us. The bathroom has mold on the ceiling, which looks like it was painted over. The bed was comfortable but it needs a new bedspread. The worst part was the heater didn’t work. The company said we could use the remote fireplace but it turned off after two minutes and smelled awful. We tried the two wall heaters which didn’t work, as well. The company promptly got back to us, but they we’re not able to fix any of the issues. It would have been nice if they sent help. Their final suggestion was for us to turn on the pilot light ourselves, which didn’t turn on. When we woke up it was 34 degrees. For as much as we paid we should not have had these issues. The overall location was 30 minutes to hiking, which was nice. However, I strongly recommend avoiding this unit.”

“Overall it worked for our stay as we spent most of the time away from the home out enjoying Yosemite. However, the home was very basic and in desperate need of repairs, upgrades, etc. Extremely old, ignored, and barely functioning as a home. Linens, towels, etc definitely had a smell as if maybe washed many months ago and stored. Nothing fresh about any of it. Too many other items to list from kitchen appliances to furniture and basic decor. Deck was in horrible condition. Probably wouldn’t mention any of this if we didn’t pay so much. Probably worth about half or less than the price we paid. As owners ourselves, we take great pride in accommodating our guests with new and updated decor as well as fully functioning newer kitchen items. And of course fresh linens, towels and bathroom items. A very old home for sure but the inside doesn’t have to reflect that and this one certainly did.”

“It is a typical cozy cabin. There is a lot of stairs FYI. The location of it being in the park is great. Beware of their late check-in of 5pm and any groceries are also 45 minutes plus to get to. We asked for a more normal check-in time of 3 PM to drop off our groceries and hike. They responded that it’s possible for $25 an hour extra. On top of the 607$ I spent for the night. Cute place not for us.”

“It was a beautiful property! Staying inside the park was the best. The upstairs living room and kitchen were the highlight of this place. The wall of windows and cooking right there was a perfect way to start our days. They had a book with recommendations for food and hiking places in the park. It was super close to lower yosemite! The downsides were the beds. Not very comfy and the make a lot of noise with every movement. And I know it says it can accomidate 6 people but one room is really small- the bed fills the whole room and trying to put 2 suitcases in there would be difficult. We paid for 2 extra people to stay with us, and we happily agreed to the extra cost of that. But sadly the extra person had to get surgery and could no longer join us. It was well before the cancelation cut off, but they refused to refund us for the extra couple. Which was a bummer. But other than that they were decent hosts.”

“Great location, nice spacious house. Unfortunately the beds were way too soft and squeeky as mentioned in the previous reviews, it was impossible to have a restfull night on them. Ok for kids but super uncomfortable for adults.”
