“It's a beautiful location, right near the water. Couple things to keep in mind. One, the AC unit is in the living room, not the bedroom. The apartment is on the 2nd floor. it gets a touch warm. Two, the couch is A**. You can feel the springs. It's giving we-got-it-free-on-FB-marketplace. Three, I had requested a date change minutes after my initial booking (4 weeks before the actual stay). This was never addressed by the company (Casago) that manages the Airbnb, they didn't accept or deny the request. I wrongly assumed it had been accepted (which is my fault) and discovered shortly before the trip that it was no longer available. It was communication that fell through the cracks, but it was frustrating and left a bad taste in my mouth. Anyhow, be very clear in your communication and double check that you are on the same page. Take this review with a grain of salt, except for the couch.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay at this location. The house has a lot of character, and the place was very clean with what we needed for our few days there. We loved the fruit trees out front, the proximity to food, the Mission, the ease of getting on the highway etc. We were able to visit the Channel Islands and Santa Barbara easily from this location. A dedicated parking spot was another plus. There are a few things to note. The home does not have AC which meant that we had to sleep with the windows and blinds open in the master. We arrived late our first night so the house was all closed up and very hot. This made for a sleepless first night. The door code was also incorrect so we couldn't enter. I had to find the phone number through the app and reach someone who helped us find a hidden lockbox with a key. That was not easy in the pitch dark. I would stay there again, but I would probably check the weather to make sure we weren't staying during a heat wave.”

“We had a great time. The apartment is an old-school, small but clean, beach crash pad. We spent our days at the fair and the very close beach. There's a many good restaurants and a Vons nearby. I rated 4 stars only because I never got a response to questions about a non-urgent matter.”
