LocalVR reviews in Truckee, California

“Lots of room, comfortable beds, well appointed.”

“Surrounding area is quite nice and the unit is quite spacious and well furnished. However, there were few big issues: 1) we found out the first night that the heating doesn't work. We were told that the heating is just slow but it didn't. The maintenance confirmed the next day that its broken and gave us couple of space heater that we weren't comfortable using (no sturdy place to keep it) 2) The shower handle was broken. Maintenance staff couldn't fix that either. So 1 out of 2 showers was not usable. 3) The balcony area was dusty, dirty and had cobwebs. 4) The place is a lot more "dingy" and has a lot less natural light than pictures suggest. Even the secondary bedroom has very yellow and dim lighting and is quite dingy but the photos make it appear bright. This gives me an impression that the unit is not very well cared for, once the guest leaves. Overall, disappointed with the experience”

“The home was just as listed. All the rooms were clean and ready and check in and out were a breeze. Location is amazing!”

“I booked this house for my 22nd birthday trip! It was the perfect size for the group of 9! We loved that every room had its own bathroom and two extras in the common areas! The hot tub was awesome and we highly enjoyed the pool table! We do live 4 hours away, when we got to tahoe an hour before check in time and we weren’t allowed an early check even though it didn’t seem to be anyone at the house when we drove by, we had to wait in a safeway parking lot until 4pm. Other than that everything was perfect and i would look into booking this home again!”

“Lovely home for 2 family stay with doggie”
