“Managed by a company, the lack of a personal touch was apparent. The place is a condo located in an older complex, and the amenities reflected it. It was as described but with noticeable wear, trash left behind, and several areas of improvement. However, Lake Tahoe is beautiful, it is a peaceful area away from lots of noise, and the place looks like the pictures. The company communicated well, however the lack of knowledge and attention to detail showed when the fireplace didn't work and the host did not know how else to heat the place beyond boiling water on the stove and using the very small space heater for a two-story, high ceiling place. It was the cheapest place we found at Lake Tahoe, and it showed.”

“The place generally matched the photos, but we ran into a few issues during our stay. When we arrived the heater was off, so it took quite a while for the place to warm up. The fireplace shown in the photos was not working, which was disappointing. The toaster also doesn’t work properly—you have to hold the lever down for it to toast. There was no hand soap in the bathroom (only body wash under the sink), and there wasn’t a kettle or anything to boil water with. We could also hear a lot of noise from the upstairs neighbors walking and banging. Lastly, the guest book says checkout is at 11am, but we were told it was 10am, and we weren’t able to get even a short extension. With a few fixes and clearer communication, the stay could be improved.”
